GERARD MUTSAERS
The soft, subtle colours of the Australian
landscape are the inspiration for the
traditional style of painting Gerard is
renowned for.
Born in Holland in 1947, Gerard migrated to
Australia with his parents in 1952 .From an
early age Gerard showed an instinctive
desire to paint and draw. Basically a self
taught artist he became a member of the
Yarra Valley Artists Society between 1968
and 1974 and since then has held many
exhibitions throughout Melbourne and his art
is featured in many publications .In 1984
two of his landscapes were presented to
Prince Charles during his Australian visit.
He has the distinction of having many of his
works secured by companies throughout the
world for display in their boardrooms
including Insurance Council of Australia,
Westpac,Tokyo Electric Company, Tokyo Gas,
Tupperware Okasaki, BHP Australia and the
Mormon Church in Utah USA.
