MALCOLM BEATTIE 

A professional artist, Malcolm places great emphasis on the composition and content of a subject, which, combined with sound draftsmanship and an understanding of tonal contrasts and colour, produces paintings which are both visually interesting and straightforward statements of everyday places and things around us..

Malcolm undertakes regular workshops and demonstrations throughout Australia and runs his own school conducting classes in both watercolour and oil painting technique. He has lead painting tours overseas and is a regular contributor to Australian Artist Magazine.

Malcolm has won many prizes and commendations at regional and Rotary Art shows including First Prize and Gold Medal for Watercolour at the 1996 Camberwell Rotary Art Show and Best Urban Landscape at the 1998 Camberwell RotaryArt Show.

His work is represented in many corporate and private collections in Australia and overseas.
